Chonburi Immigration and local police launched a coordinated raid early on June 17, 2025, targeting an illegal gambling den in an 8-storey apartment building located in Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District. The operation resulted in the arrest of 21 Chinese nationals caught gambling and possession of gambling equipment.
The raid, conducted at approximately 1:16 a.m., involved officers from Chonburi Immigration, Pattaya City Police, Pattaya City Tourist Police, and administrative officials. Police discovered that the second floor of the building was operating as a full gambling den, featuring one poker table, two fish-shooting machines, playing cards, chips used as currency, and several mobile phones.
During the crackdown, some gamblers fled to the upper floors, leading officers to pursue them to the eighth floor. There, officers found suspicious electronic devices and computer screens. Authorities are currently investigating whether the gamblers have links to call center gangs or online gambling operations.
All 21 suspects were taken to Pattaya City Police Station for further questioning and processing. Police have yet to release additional details but have indicated that a press conference will be held to update the public.
This raid is part of an ongoing effort to crack down on illegal gambling activities and related criminal enterprises in the Pattaya and Chonburi areas.
