A foreign national, whose identity and nationality remain unknown, was arrested after allegedly stealing a motorcycle from Soi 16 on Walking Street, one of Pattaya’s busiest nightlife hubs.
Witnesses told police the suspect appeared to be under the influence of narcotics during the incident.
Taxi Drivers to the Rescue
Authorities said the motorcycle’s owner quickly sought help from nearby motorcycle taxi drivers, who immediately gave chase. The group tracked the suspect down near the old pier at the front of Walking Street, where he was detained on the spot.
Pattaya municipal officers, working with patrol police from Pattaya City Police Station, arrived shortly after and took the suspect into custody for further legal proceedings.

Officials expressed gratitude to the vigilant motorcycle taxi drivers and concerned citizens whose swift action ensured the suspect was captured quickly, preventing further risk to public safety in the area.
The investigation remains ongoing as police work to determine the man’s identity, nationality, and potential involvement in other crimes.
