Bangkok Serial Thief Caught with Stolen Goods in Dusit

A suspected serial thief was arrested in Bangkok’s Dusit district on Wednesday, with authorities recovering a stash of stolen items believed to be linked to several burglary cases across the capital.

Acting on a tip from local residents, police conducted a search of a rental unit where the suspect had been residing. Officers discovered numerous valuables, including luxury watches, electronic devices, wallets, and handbags—many of which matched descriptions from recent theft reports.

The suspect, whose identity is being withheld pending further investigation, had allegedly been operating in multiple districts, targeting both residential homes and small businesses. Surveillance footage and eyewitness accounts reportedly placed him at several crime scenes over the past two months.

Dusit Police said the man was armed with burglary tools and had been moving frequently to avoid capture. He is currently being held for questioning and faces multiple charges, including theft and possession of stolen property.

Authorities have urged anyone who believes they may have been a victim to contact Dusit Police Station with evidence or claims.

The arrest marks a breakthrough in a wave of petty crimes that had been plaguing central Bangkok neighborhoods in recent weeks. Police have reiterated their commitment to maintaining public safety and cracking down on repeat offenders.
