Chon Buri Grandmother Appeals for Help in Search for Missing 12-Year-Old
A 63-year-old woman in Chon Buri is urgently appealing for the public’s assistance to help locate her 12-year-old granddaughter, who has been missing for more than two weeks.
The girl, identified as Pitchanan — known to family and friends as Noona — vanished on July 29 after leaving the family home in Si Racha district. According to her grandmother, Daeng, Noona told her she was going to withdraw 300 baht that her father had transferred earlier that day. She left on a red and white Honda Wave 110i motorcycle, heading towards a nearby ATM and convenience store.
When Noona failed to return, Daeng initially thought she might have gone to her father’s accommodation, located on a banana plantation in the same district. However, a visit there revealed no sign of the girl. Since then, Daeng has been unable to contact her granddaughter by phone or through friends.
The disappearance was reported to Si Racha Police Station on August 4, but Daeng says there have been no significant leads from authorities. She fears Noona may have been involved in a motorcycle accident and possibly hospitalised without identification.
“I search for her every day, but I haven’t found a single clue,” Daeng told reporters, urging media outlets and social media users to help spread her granddaughter’s photo and details.
Police are asking anyone with information about Noona’s whereabouts to come forward immediately. The family remains hopeful that increased public awareness will lead to her safe return.
This case highlights the importance of swift community response in missing child incidents, where public tips and sightings can often make the difference in locating the person quickly.
