‘Do it’: Melbourne Man’s Final Words Before Daylight Execution

A 21-year-old Melbourne man has been shot dead in a brazen daylight execution just metres from his family home, with police now investigating possible gangland links and the use of a torched getaway car.

Peter Boursinos was ambushed and killed in an alleyway behind his home in the city’s northern suburbs as he was reportedly preparing to attend court over charges related to drugs, weapons, theft, and driving offences.

According to witnesses, the chilling execution unfolded in seconds. Neighbour Tanco Taneski, whose bedroom faces the alley, described hearing at least eight gunshots in rapid succession.

“At least three to four [shots] first bum, bum, bum. Then at least another three and then the last two. At least eight, I think,” Taneski told 9News.
“After that, screaming – probably his father came out and saw him on the ground.”

It’s believed Boursinos’ final words before he was shot were simply: “Do it.”

Family Devastated, Say He Was Turning His Life Around

Despite his criminal history and possible connections to Melbourne’s underworld, family members insist Boursinos had made efforts to change. His brother said the young man had recently turned to religion and was prepared to face his previous charges in court.

“He had the biggest heart and was the bravest person I knew,” the brother told 9News.

His fiancée also expressed her grief publicly in a heart-wrenching social media tribute:

“I will never stop loving you,” she wrote.
“You’re the best person I have ever met with the best soul. I can’t wait to see and hold you again.”

Boursinos’ father, a former Victoria Police sergeant, was reportedly the first to find his son’s body after the shooting. Sources say the family is shattered by the loss and shocked by the brutal nature of the attack.

Underworld Ties and Ongoing Investigations

While police have not officially confirmed a motive, Boursinos was previously suspected of involvement in the non-fatal shooting of gangland figure Sam “The Punisher” Abdulrahim earlier this year. Investigators are now exploring whether Thursday’s execution was an act of retaliation.

Detectives are also reviewing whether a burnt-out four-wheel-drive found in Reservoir may have been used as a getaway car by the shooter. Though another Ford ute was found torched nearby, authorities do not believe that vehicle is linked to the murder.

Forensic specialists have been combing the crime scene, alleyway, and vehicle locations for evidence. Police have not yet confirmed any arrests or named suspects.

Community in Shock

The murder has rattled residents of the quiet neighbourhood, who are struggling to process the brutal killing that took place just outside their doors.

“It’s terrifying to think something like this could happen so close,” one local said.
“We’re used to hearing about gang stuff in the news, not outside our homes.”

As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area to come forward. Police are also asking residents in surrounding suburbs to report any suspicious activity, particularly around the time of the shooting or vehicle fires.

A Tragic End

Peter Boursinos’ story is one of a young man entangled in Melbourne’s criminal underworld, but whose family insists he was on the verge of redemption. Whether his death was linked to past actions or a broader gang feud remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: a violent cycle has claimed yet another life.

Police continue to investigate the execution-style killing, which has added to concerns over gang-related violence in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.
