BOSTON — Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) launched its largest operation since President Donald Trump returned to office, arresting hundreds of criminal non-citizens across Massachusetts this week, including individuals convicted of serious crimes and those on international most-wanted lists.
ICE allowed Fox News exclusive access to the multi-day enforcement campaign in the Greater Boston area, where agents executed targeted arrests of undocumented immigrants with extensive criminal records.
Among the most high-profile arrests was a Salvadoran national previously convicted of child rape, who had served prison time and was deported in 2017. He was reportedly found living near a children’s playground at the time of his arrest.

In another case, agents detained a fugitive on El Salvador’s most wanted list, who is the subject of an Interpol Red Notice for charges of aggravated murder, kidnapping, and robbery.
According to ICE Boston officials, the operation involved dozens of teams deployed across Massachusetts, with reinforcements from ICE divisions in other regions. The agency noted that local activist groups opposed to ICE had attempted to interfere with operations during the week, prompting security adjustments.
ICE officials emphasized that the arrests are part of their mandate to remove individuals who pose a threat to public safety, especially those with serious convictions or pending charges abroad.
The agency has not yet released an official tally of arrests but expects the number to reach into the hundreds by the end of the operation.
