Motorbike Clash in Pattaya Ends in Violent Street Assault

PATTAYA -A 20-year-old man suffered a serious head injury after being struck with a bottle during a violent altercation triggered by a near motorcycle collision in the Nong Prue area.

Emergency responders from Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation and officers from Nong Prue Police Station were called to the scene in Soi Phonpraphanimit 27, Bang Lamung district, early Monday morning.

The victim was found bleeding from a head wound allegedly caused by a liquor bottle. He was given first aid at the scene and later transported to a nearby hospital.

According to his girlfriend, 20-year-old Krittiya, the incident began when they were riding home and nearly collided with two women who exited a side alley without checking for oncoming traffic. The close call prompted Krittiya to angrily question the women’s driving behavior.

The couple continued to a convenience store at the entrance of the soi, where the two women later approached them and demanded clarification about the earlier remarks. Despite Krittiya’s apology, the confrontation escalated when the women allegedly called their partners.

A group of men believed to be the women’s associates soon arrived and attacked the boyfriend, striking him in the head with a bottle.

Krittiya confirmed that neither she nor her partner had any previous connection to the attackers. Her family intends to file a formal complaint at Nong Prue Police Station.

Police are investigating the incident and reviewing security camera footage in the area to identify those involved.
