NC Man Held on $10M Bond After Major Drug Bust n

CARTERET COUNTY, N.C. — A month-long drug investigation has landed a Williston man in jail on a $10 million bond after authorities seized a massive haul of drugs, firearms, and cash.

Deputies arrested 39-year-old Stacy Willis of Williston and 28-year-old Christopher Mason of Beaufort on Saturday during a traffic stop on Highway 101 in Beaufort.

Detectives said undercover purchases from Willis led to a raid on his Williston home, where they found more than 3 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, along with cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, marijuana-based products, 40 guns, and $6,818 in cash.

Willis faces multiple charges, including:

  • Five counts of trafficking fentanyl
  • Seven counts of trafficking methamphetamine
  • Two counts of trafficking cocaine
  • Conspiracy to traffic fentanyl
  • Possession of a firearm by a felon
  • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver psilocybin mushrooms
  • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver marijuana

Mason was charged with three counts of trafficking fentanyl and conspiracy to traffic fentanyl.

Following their first court appearance on Monday, Willis remained jailed under a $10 million bond, while Mason was held under a $750,000 secured bond.
