Police Bust Prostitution Ring in Massage Parlour

Police have busted a prostitution ring at a well-known traditional massage parlour in Mueang district after an undercover operation on June 29.

Officers posed as clients, paying 400 baht (about $12) for an oil massage. After 40 minutes, staff offered sexual services for an additional 1,500 baht (about $46). Police raided the room, seizing marked banknotes as evidence.

The raid led to the arrest of Wilaiwan, 30, charged with soliciting prostitution and brothel facilitation. Kamolchanok, 36, was arrested for operating an unlicensed venue and running a prostitution business.

Four more women—Arusara (41), Chatchadaporn (38), Thidawan (37), and Praphatsorn (30)—were charged with participating in a brothel for personal profit.

During questioning, the women admitted to working as massage therapists while engaging in sex work. Kamolchanok confessed to owning the business without a legal license.

Four other massage therapists were found on-site and detained for legal proceedings.

Authorities warned of rising illegal activities in massage parlours, including prostitution and exploitation. Cases involving minors fall under human trafficking laws.
