Teen Stabbed to Death at Sydney Bus Terminal

Police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old man at a bus interchange in western Sydney overnight, amid concerns the attack may have gang links.

Emergency services were called to the North Parade bus interchange at Mount Druitt around 10 p.m. last night, where officers found two men, both aged 19, suffering from stab wounds.

Details of the Attack

NSW Police Superintendent Darrin Batchelor described the incident as “callous, vicious and without regard for the victims or innocent bystanders.” He said the assault was a violent, frenzied attack directed at the individuals.

One of the men sustained stab wounds to his chest and was pronounced dead at the scene despite paramedic efforts. The second victim suffered serious injuries to his arm and chest, including a wound that passed through his arm and penetrated his chest, but he was taken to hospital in stable condition. Batchelor described him as “extremely lucky” to survive.

A third person was also assaulted during the attack but was not believed to be associated with the victims, instead being in the area at the time.

Suspects

Police believe four individuals were involved, two of whom were armed with kitchen knives. Officers confirmed the attackers were dressed in black and wearing balaclavas.

There are reports the attack could be gang-related, with witnesses claiming the victims were asked if they were part of “67”, an alleged gang in Western Sydney. Police are actively investigating this lead, though inquiries have been slowed as the second victim remains under sedation in hospital.

Investigation

A crime scene has been established, and officers from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad are leading the investigation. A report will be prepared for the coroner. Police continue to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Superintendent Batchelor emphasized the brazen nature of the attack, noting its public location and the risk to bystanders. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the bus interchange and surrounding areas as part of the probe.

The incident adds to rising concerns about youth violence and gang activity in Western Sy
