Thai Woman Slashes Throat After Argument in Pattaya Bar
A shocking incident unfolded in Pattaya in the early hours of October 19, when a 35-year-old Thai woman slashed her own throat at a local bar following an argument with her foreign boyfriend.
The incident occurred at around 1:36am on Soi Pattaya Beach 13/2 in the Nong Prue sub-district, Bang Lamung district, Chon Buri. Rescuers from the Sawang Boriboon Dhammastan Foundation arrived to find the woman, identified only as Natty, bleeding heavily from a deep neck wound. Emergency responders administered first aid before transporting her to a nearby hospital.
The dramatic scene reportedly caused panic among bar patrons. A 24-year-old witness named Woonsen told police she saw Natty drinking with her boyfriend throughout the night. The couple had been arguing constantly, and when the man walked away, Natty pulled out a pocket knife and slashed her own throat.
CCTV footage shared by Chon Buri News captured the escalating situation. Natty, dressed in white, was seen arguing at the bar counter with her foreign boyfriend, who eventually walked away to join friends inside the venue. Another foreign man who overheard the argument attempted to calm her down, but after he returned to his table, Natty remained alone, continuing to drink before harming herself.
Bar staff were reportedly stunned by the sudden act. They immediately called for help while the woman’s boyfriend and other patrons rushed to her aid. Natty allegedly refused all assistance at first.
As of now, police have not released an official statement, and her current medical condition remains unknown. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage and interviewing witnesses as part of their ongoing investigation into the incident.
