A third suspect wanted for the 3.4-million-baht crypto robbery at Central Ladprao shopping mall has been arrested in Nonthaburi after falling off a rooftop while attempting to flee police.
Metropolitan Police Bureau investigators located the suspect, identified only as Nonthawat, alias “Song,” at a house in Bang Sri Muang around 1.30am Wednesday.
When officers moved in, Nonthawat tried to escape by climbing onto the roof but fell and sustained injuries. He was taken under guard to Phra Nang Klao Hospital for treatment and will face legal action once recovered.
Nonthawat is the third suspect apprehended following the arrest of Sherpat, 25, and Nana, 31, on Tuesday at a resort in Pathum Thani.
The robbery occurred Monday evening, when seven armed assailants held three victims at knifepoint in the Central Ladprao parking lot as they attempted to exchange 3.4 million baht for US$100,000 worth of Tether (USDT) cryptocurrency.
Police are still pursuing four suspects at large.
