Transgender Woman Hits Tourist with Heel in Pattaya

Transgender Woman Attacks Indian Tourist with High Heel in Pattaya

A violent altercation broke out at Pattaya Beach, near the Baywalk project, when a transgender woman allegedly attacked an Indian tourist with a high-heeled shoe. The incident has drawn attention from both local authorities and international media.

The victim, identified as Mr. Chandra, a 25-year-old tourist from India, filed a formal complaint with Police Sub-Lieutenant Wutthinan Kongdee of the Pattaya City Police Station.

Dispute Over Escort Services

According to the initial investigation, the assailant was identified as Ms. Mintra, 29. She told The Pattaya News that Mr. Chandra approached her on the beach asking about escort services. She quoted 1,000 baht for a short-term encounter and 4,000 baht for an overnight stay.

Mr. Chandra reportedly agreed to the overnight rate but insisted on verifying her gender. During this exchange, he allegedly touched Ms. Mintra in a way that she said caused her pain and discomfort.

The Altercation

Enraged by the act, Ms. Mintra allegedly struck the tourist two to three times on the head with her high-heeled shoe, causing significant bleeding. Witnesses alerted nearby officers, and both parties were taken to Pattaya City Police Station for questioning.

While at the station, however, Ms. Mintra requested to use the restroom and reportedly fled the building, likely fearing imminent assault charges.

Police Investigation

Authorities have since recorded Mr. Chandra’s statement and documented his injuries. Police confirmed they are preparing a summons for Ms. Mintra to face legal proceedings. As of press time, the suspect has not returned to the station, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Law enforcement officials emphasized that while disputes involving escort services are not uncommon in Pattaya, violence of this nature is taken seriously. Assault charges could lead to significant legal consequences for Ms. Mintra, particularly given the severity of the victim’s injuries.

Tourism and Local Impact

Pattaya, a city renowned for its nightlife and beachfront attractions, has long been a magnet for international tourists. However, incidents involving altercations between visitors and local sex workers occasionally make headlines, raising concerns about safety and the city’s image abroad.

Authorities have sought to reassure tourists that measures are in place to ensure their safety. Police patrols in nightlife zones and beachside areas are being reinforced, especially during peak tourist seasons.

Next Steps

The case is expected to move forward once police locate Ms. Mintra or she responds to the official summons. Until then, investigators will continue gathering evidence, including medical reports and witness statements.

For Mr. Chandra, the attack turned what began as a night out into a traumatic incident requiring police involvement and medical attention.

The outcome of the case will depend on whether Ms. Mintra returns to face charges — and whether both sides can provide consistent accounts of the events leading up to the assault.
