Sattahip Woman Injured in Violent Bag Snatch Incident
SATTAHIP, Chonburi Thailand— A woman sustained injuries after being violently dragged along the road during a brazen bag snatching in broad daylight, sending shockwaves through the local community.
The incident occurred on a busy street in Sattahip district when an unidentified assailant on a motorbike targeted the victim, who was walking along the roadside. The suspect snatched her handbag with such force that the woman was pulled to the ground and dragged several metres before the strap broke loose.
Bystanders rushed to assist the woman, who suffered abrasions and bruises to her arms, legs, and back. Emergency services transported her to a nearby hospital for treatment. Fortunately, her injuries were not life-threatening.
Police are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby buildings and intersections to identify the suspect, believed to be a lone male rider wearing a dark helmet and clothing. Investigators say the crime appears to have been opportunistic, rather than targeted.
