According to Police Colonel Manop Senakun, inspector of Chiang Rai, officers were under strict orders to ensure full security. Police Colonel Suphakon Phromcharoen, director of Phuthra Wiang Kaen Police Station, coordinated the deployment of officers around the scene to maintain order during the reenactment.

Despite the heightened security, emotions boiled over as the reenactment ended. While police escorted the suspect back to the patrol car, relatives of the victims rushed toward him, expressing outrage. Officers quickly restrained the crowd and safely returned Song Po to custody.

Song Po confessed to killing his wife but denied any involvement in the murder of Chanchai. Throughout the reenactment, he refused to answer questions from the press.

Dan Nayawarchoti Sai Yang, younger brother of the deceased, expressed both relief at the arrest and concern for his family’s safety. He revealed that prior to the killings, Tong Sai had told him Song Po had made threats against their family. Dan also suspects that others may have been involved, especially regarding access to firearms.

In response to public concern, Police Colonel Manop confirmed that investigators were ordered to collect all possible evidence and pursue the case thoroughly. Authorities are expanding the investigation to explore all leads and ensure justice is served without bias or exception.
