A 31-year-old massage therapist in Rayong, Thailand, says she was violently attacked and robbed by a man posing as a client at her condominium on March 12 — a case that remains unsolved months later.
According to police, the woman was contacted to provide a one-hour massage service at a condo unit. After the session ended, the suspect allegedly launched a sudden assault, throwing a chemical-like substance into her face before physically attacking her.
The victim told investigators the man then stole around 11,000 baht in cash, along with two mobile phones worth more than 60,000 baht, before fleeing the scene.
She later received medical treatment for her injuries and exposure to the substance. Police confirmed she filed a formal complaint immediately after the incident.
Investigators believe the suspect may have attempted to evade capture by changing clothes at a nearby shopping mall. However, CCTV footage reviewed so far has been unclear, making it difficult to identify him or trace his movements.
Despite ongoing efforts, including checks along possible escape routes, the case remains unsolved nearly three months later. Authorities have not yet determined a motive and say the investigation is ongoing.
