AYUTTHAYA — A woman operating a profitable online sex video subscription service was arrested in Bang Pa-in district following a months-long investigation by Thailand’s Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), officials announced Wednesday.
The suspect, identified only as Chulalak, was detained at a residence in the Samruan subdistrict, where officers executed a search warrant linked to explicit content promoted and distributed via social media platforms and X (formerly Twitter).
Investigators uncovered a paywall system in which subscribers were charged 199 baht per month or a one-time payment of 499 baht for unlimited access to videos and images. The material reportedly featured Chulalak, her boyfriend, and other participants engaged in sexual acts.
Widespread Online Promotion
Police say the suspect used multiple X accounts and social media channels to solicit subscribers. Interested customers were directed to private groups, where the content was uploaded and shared. Surveillance of her online activity led investigators to her identity and digital footprint.
Millions in Revenue
Authorities confirmed that two mobile phones and bank accounts under Chulalak’s name were seized during the search. The phones were allegedly used to manage the X accounts and facilitate communication with subscribers, while the accounts received subscription payments.
Chulalak confessed to the operation, admitting to running the subscription service for three years, with revenue reportedly reaching millions of baht.
She was transferred to the Bang Pa-in Police Station for formal legal proceedings.
