Young French Man Injured in Violent Domestic Dispute in Pattaya
Authorities in Pattaya are investigating a violent domestic dispute that left a 37-year-old French national injured at an apartment in Naklua 19. The Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Unit received a report of the incident and arrived alongside officers from Banglamung Police Station.
At the scene, rescue workers found the victim, identified only as Mr. A, with a head injury. He was given first aid before being taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Inside the apartment, officers observed signs of a violent struggle — furniture overturned, belongings strewn across the floor, and visible property damage.
Witnesses told police that the altercation began with a heated argument between Mr. A and his Thai girlfriend. The dispute allegedly escalated into physical violence, prompting the woman to call her sister and brother-in-law — a foreign man described by witnesses as having a large build — for help.
When the sister and brother-in-law arrived, the confrontation reportedly became more chaotic. By the time police and rescue teams reached the apartment, the girlfriend, her sister, and the brother-in-law had fled the scene.
Police are now working to locate the three individuals involved to obtain statements and determine who initiated the violence and whether criminal charges will be filed. Investigators are also reviewing security footage from the area to piece together the sequence of events.
The case underscores the continuing challenge of domestic disputes turning violent, particularly in Pattaya’s expat community, where relationships can involve multiple cultural and legal complexities. Authorities have urged those in volatile situations to seek mediation or police assistance before conflicts escalate into physical harm.
