Man assaulted by teens in Chon Buri after social media dispute
A 26-year-old man has filed a police report after being assaulted by a group of more than 20 teenagers who allegedly stormed his home in Chon Buri province, attacking him with a rock and attempting to stab him. The incident is believed to have stemmed from a dispute on social media.
The attack occurred on January 18 at the victim’s home in Nong Ri subdistrict, Mueang district. CCTV footage shows the group forcing their way into the residence and launching a violent assault, creating chaos inside the house.
According to the footage, the man tried to defend himself by grabbing a knife, suffering injuries to his hand that caused visible bleeding. He was also struck on the head with a brick during the attack.
The victim, identified as Anucha, said the conflict began after his girlfriend posted content on social media, which led to an online argument with another woman from a nearby alley. Hoping to resolve the matter peacefully, Anucha arranged a meeting at his home. However, he was unprepared for the large number of people who arrived together.
During the assault, the attackers allegedly attempted to stab him in the stomach, but he managed to block the blow with his hand, sustaining knife wounds. A woman later intervened by using a broom to drive the group away, briefly halting the attack.
Despite this, Anucha said the assailants taunted him, claiming they were not afraid of police and threatening more severe retaliation if they encountered him again outside his home.
Fearing for his safety, Anucha has filed a complaint at Mueang Chon Buri Police Station and is seeking protection and legal action. He urged authorities to swiftly arrest those responsible, describing the attack as a blatant disregard for the law.
He said he now feels unsafe leaving his home and fears for his life should the attackers return.
