SURAT THANI Thailand— A 35-year-old man was shot dead outside his home in Mueang Khiri Rat Nikhom district, Surat Thani province, on the evening of June 8. Local police have launched an investigation into the killing.
Police Lieutenant Anirut Phonrak, Deputy Inspector of Khiri Rat Nikhom Police Station, led officers to the crime scene at approximately 9 p.m. Upon arrival, they found the victim, identified as Nattapong, a native of Nakhon Si Thammarat province, lying in front of his house. He had sustained gunshot wounds to the forehead and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a blue t-shirt and camouflage trousers.
According to the victim’s wife, a white Toyota sedan with an unidentified license plate pulled up outside their home shortly before the shooting. The driver reportedly asked her husband to step outside for a brief conversation. Moments later, the man fired three shots at Nattapong before fleeing the scene.
Police collected evidence at the site and are reviewing CCTV footage in the area as they search for clues to the suspect’s identity and the motive behind the murder. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to bring the perpetrator to justice.
